The more they afflict you...

Looking back just under a decade ago, when I started working, I must say that things were quite like the time of the Pharaohs. Much oppression everywhere. Most people will know what it's like to work under someone who is threatened by the potential and work ethic they see in you. In fact I remember someone from HR saying to me, "don't do so much so quickly, this zeal you have will soon die down, this is government. " I remember thinking, they couldn't be more wrong.

The Lord blessed my unit with a few awards ranging from departmental to provincial level to one international special recognition award. If I had listened to my critics and enemies, where would I be?

"But the more they afflicted them, the more they multiplied and grew. And they were in dread of the children of Israel". Exodus 1:12 NKJV.

The Lord wants to multiply and grow us even when the midwives of our blessings have been ordered by the enemy to kill our blessings at birth. You see the midwives of your blessings fear the God of Israel, and will not obey the enemy.

There is a reason why your supervisor (pharaoh) will assign a taskmaster to keep you yoked down with mandane tasks. And he (your Supervisor Pharaoh) said to his people, “Look, the people of the children of Israel are more (educated, qualified, focused, hard working, favoured, employable, dedicated, consistent, honest, and all the other great qualities you display at work) mightier than we; come, let us deal shrewdly with them, lest they multiply, and it happen, in the event of war (or a job opening), that they also join our enemies and fight against us, and so go up out of the land.” Exodus 1:9-10 NKJV
Your pharaoh wants to keep you in bondage and kill your blessings. That is not the will of God for your life. The Bible says "But the more they afflicted them, the more they multiplied and grew." Remember, Colossians 3:17 says "And whatever you do or say, do it as a representative of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through him to God the Father. "

Remain in Him and let his word remain in you, continue to seek first His Kingdom. Please do not be blind to your own worth, our God has an everlasting covenant with you, your enemy knows it and that is why he afflicts you. Believe in the word of the Lord, for this is the year that He is delivering you out of the oppressive hand of your Pharaoh and into your promised land.
Blessed week
