Parable of the Safety belt

To what shall i liken the Kingdom of God unto? It is like three drivers on their way home from work. The first driver got into his car, put on his safety belt, and started his journey home. The second driver did not have a safety belt on, he saw the traffic police ahead, got into a panic, put on his safety belt, and carried on driving with his safety belt fastened;
The third driver chose to drive with no safety belt on, when suddenly he saw the traffic police ahead; He got into a panic, trying to put on his safety belt, almost crashing into other cars, but as soon as he passed the traffic police, he took off the safety belt and continued on driving;

All three drivers were involved in serious accidents; the first driver had a safety belt on, when he was brought out of the wreck, he simply got up and went home to be with his family; the second driver, although he put on his safety belt late, when he was brought out of the wreck, he also got up and went home to be with his family; as for the third driver who chose not to put on his safety belt; he died on the spot, and when he was removed from the wreck, was placed in a black bag and there was much weeping at the accident scene.

The parable explained...
The driver is you and I; the safety belt is Jesus' salvation; the traffic police are significant moments in your life (grief, sadness, loss, sickness etc.); the serious accident is the end of the ages;

The first driver; these are they that hear the word of salvation, and receive it, at the end of their lives or when Jesus returns, they simply get up and walk home to be with others in heaven.

The second driver; these are they that knowingly live without Christ, but when their situation is changed, hear His word and receive it, and bring forth fruit.. even though they put on their salvation late, at the end of their lives or when Jesus returns, they simply get up and walk home to be with others in heaven.

The third driver; these are they that knowingly live without Christ, but when their situation is changed hear His word, but it takes no root in them, and so endure but for a short time: afterward, when they are no longer broke or poor, or have recovered from their loss, or have forgotten the saving arm of the Lord, turn back to their old ways. At the end of their time on earth or when Christ returns, these are cast into darkness where there is weeping and gnashing of teeth. ..

Some of the things that happen in life are there to turn us to Christ. My prayer is that when we are going through the hardships of life, that we may turn to Christ and hold on steadfast even when our situation changes. That His word may bring forth fruit, thirtyfold, sixtyfold and even a hundred fold.

My peace I give you - Shalom
